Weekend Scenes

Wednesday, October 30

I'm beginning to really love this whole Autumn season malarkey. Well.. I was until the clocks changed and i now can't walk Grizzle without putting his head lamp on. I guess i'll just have to make the most of the weekend daylight hours instead.

We've been in the house a full week this week! I adore our new pad and i find new little things around it every day. Possibly my favourite thing is the big front door and steps. The house is over a 100 years old and almost everything is still there from day one. Grizzle just loves his new paddock and the fact that the cows like to lick his face.

It's Halloween soon! I spent some time this weekend carving pumpkins and setting up a little display on our front steps. I'll spend the night watching scary movies, curled up on the sofa with a glass of wine, waiting for the trick or treaters that will never come because nobody would dare walk down our lane at night, especially on Halloween!

Cromer Pier

Tuesday, October 15

I've had both good and bad memories of being in Cromer so when i was last near i wanted to cleanse that pallet and have a good day. I strolled around the pier and despite it still being early the crowds had gathered to enjoy the sunshine and watch the waves.

All these photo's were taken in my manual setting. I had been playing around with new things on my camera all weekend and when i got home i was excited to see what these looked on the screen. I think i'm quite happy with how they turned out, even if i do say so myself..

Norfolk Scenes

Monday, October 14

These photos seem so long ago now especially since the weather is an altogether different picture now. My last Sunday in Norfolk the air had a slight chill to it but with a good jumper i was able to enjoy an early morning walk along the beach before stopping off for fresh croissants for breakfast to enjoy on the terrace outside.

I spent a few hours in Cromer on the pier (more on that soon) before driving along the coast road, stopping at various places to take photo's, see the animals and have cups of tea in the pub gardens. When the sun began to go down i headed to the beach and spent the rest of the evening reading and listening to the waves. I was truly sad to leave but hopefully i'll be back again soon.
